GLOBAL CLIMATE POLICY EXPERT, DIANA FOX CARNEY, JOINS TERRAMERA’S STRATEGIC ADVISORY BOARD

VANCOUVER, BC - July 28, 2021 – Terramera is pleased to announce that respected global climate policy expert, Diana Fox Carney, has joined its Strategic Advisory Board.

“Diana’s global perspective and deep connection to the industry make her a valued addition to our Strategic Advisory Board,” said Karn Manhas, Terramera Founder and CEO. “As an expert at identifying climate solutions, we’re honoured that she recognizes Terramera’s commitment and technological capabilities and welcome her support in our efforts to address the global climate crisis and ensure an earth that thrives and provides for everyone.”

Fox Carney is Senior Advisor at Eurasia Group, has worked on climate policy at think tanks in Canada and the UK, served as the executive director of Pi Capital, and conducted agricultural research in Africa assessing new and advanced energy technologies. Pulling from her extensive experience developing frameworks for getting to net zero greenhouse gas emissions, and the role negative emissions will play in this effort, she will advise on Terramera’s strategic direction and advancement in climate-smart regenerative agriculture.

“Terramera sits at the intersection of agriculture and climate tech, a space with huge untapped potential. With their great team and palpable ambition, I believe Terramera can set the standards for others – helping farmers do more with less, building the safety and trustworthiness of our food systems and ensuring that agriculture is part of the climate solution,” said Fox Carney. “I look forward to contributing to Terramera’s success as a company and as a solution provider to meet the global climate commitments.”

As the newest member of the Strategic Advisory Board, she joins a deep bench of experts including Nancy Roman, President and CEO of the Partnership for a Healthier America; Dr. Santa Ono, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of British Columbia; Stewart Beck, President and CEO of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada; Sanjay Lashand, Digital Business Model Expert and Linium Executive; and Chairman of the advisory board, Greg D’Avignon, President and CEO of the Business Council of BC.
